With TM2 Hosted, your data is completely secure, backups are taken for you and if you have any problems, our technical staff can log into your database quickly and securely, without needing to send backup files to us.
And importantly, you use TM2 in the same way you would if it was installed locally.

How does it work?

Your patient database is stored on a server in a Data Centre. The server is owned and managed by Blue Zinc and hosts many client systems.
We partition the server so that every client has their own dedicated area, fully secure from any other client. And we make sure that you have enough space, computer memory and band width to run your system effectively.
You simply install TM2 on your PC or laptop and connect securely to your database over the internet, instead of connecting to a machine in your clinic.

Performance

The Data Centre we use is connected to the Global Internet Backbone, which means it has the best and fastest connections to the internet. This gives large bandwidth which means most people are surprised when they first use the TM2 Hosted service as it seems just as quick having your data stored locally.

The Data Centre is completely secure, the servers we use are secure and the SQL Server database we use is the very latest on the market. This gives the best level of protection available for your data. In addition, each of your PCs will have special certificates installed which allow that PC to connect to your data. It is impossible to connect in any other way. Security is further enhanced by the encryption provided by TM2. So even though your data is being sent over the internet, it is fully encrypted.

We take backups of your data once a day onto a special secure area of the server. This data is then automatically and securely transferred to a different location which is also backed up each day. Unlike TM2 Hosted, with TM2 Remote, your data is stored in your clinic and you can:

Connect to your practice from home. This lets you perform administration or book appointments from the comfort of your own home.
Connect multiple clinics to one central store of information which is held in your main clinic.

How does it work?

TM2 Remote creates a Virtual Private Network (VPN), set up so that only the PCs you specify can access your data.
It runs across the internet - so as long as you can connect your PC to a high speed internet connection, you can access your TM2 database.
TM2 Remote is software based, so there is no need to purchase or configure additional hardware. You install the software on each PC, make a few configurations and that's it.
It is easy to install and configure. It comes with a configuration wizard to guide you through the set up.
